The Massachusetts Regional Caring Science Consortium (MRCSC) is a local grass-roots forum, that emerged from the Watson Caring Science Institute’s International Caritas Consortium (ICC), to increase opportunities in exploring the philosophy, ethic, and practices of Caring Science in the Massachusetts and New England area. With the suspension of in-person meetings during the pandemic, MRCSC has been organizing bi-annual web-based programs that are open to those interested in Caring Science, world-wide.

The Autumn 2022 MRCSC program was held on held on Thursday, October 20 and featured Jean Watson, PhD, RN, AHN-BC, FAAN, LL (AAN), famed nursing theorist and transformative leader. The topic was Exploring the Theory of Human Caring, Transformative Caring Moments, and Micropractices; Sustaining Caring-Healing Relationships with Self and Others. The program was well attended and Dr. Watson’s presentation received excellent reviews.

The MRCSC thanks Dr. Watson for her presentation and participation, and the MGH Institute of Health Professions, Boston, MA and Endicott College, Cummings School of Nursing and Health Sciences, Beverly, MA for providing the Zoom Webinar venue and for applying for attendees CEUs, and of course the MRCSC leadership team for arranging this program.
